BRING BACK THE GOSPEL TO UK – USING THE FOL, KESWICK CONVENTION

Various Christian agencies, denominations, use different initiatives to fulfil the word of God in Mathew 28:19-20” Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age”.

This is the great commission and the heart beat of Our Lord and Saviour that none should perish but all should come to the saving grace of our Lord, the same reason why He sent His only begotten son to shed His blood on the Cross at Calvary.

Basically the whole essence of our Faith is the CROSS: The Finished work of Calvary.

We are going to examine briefly two of these initiatives: The Festival of Life (FOL), and the Keswick Convention.

Keswick convention began in 1875, but the Keswick ministries was established in 2003, this is an annual gathering of evangelical Christians in Keswick, in Cumbria UK, with the aim of taking the Bible teaching to a wider audience both locally and internationally, promote Bible teaching and encourage holy and biblical life style, to a decadent society.

Festival of Life (FOL) is the UK version of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, monthly Holy Ghost service held in Lagos Nigeria (a multi denominational gathering). 

FOL was established in 1996 as a Christian Charity. FESTIVAL Of Life an evangelistic tool aimed at bringing back the Gospel to the United Kingdom, use to be held twice annually but it is held once annually now. FOL is committed to advancing the Gospel by impacting lives and transforming communities.

As a means of bringing back the Gospel to UK, an all night service is held during which an Altar call is made for Salvation of souls. 

PRAYER

• Pray for the two initiatives, thank God for thus far the Lord has used them and much more He would do through them. 
• Pray that the two initiatives would not become a jamboree, that the people would not get Familiar and miss the whole essence of them, thereby just attend religiously.
• “ The WORD of  God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and Spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of heart” Hebrew 4:12; Pray that as the Word of God comes forth, it  would convict and convert sinners and it would Comfort the already saved, people would have a definite encounter with  the Word. 
• “ While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name; those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of the is lost”  John 17:12a Pray that as many that would be convicted and converted would not be lost for lack of  effective follow up and discipleship; they would be signposted to Bible believing churches where the undiluted unfragmented word of God is Taught. 
• “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation; I the Lord will hasten it in His time” Isaiah 60:22. Pray that every new and old convert would begin to tell the good news to everyone that they come in contact with, God has promised the increase, so for the Gospel to return in full to UK, we need to multiply by going to tell it to the Mountain that JESUS is Lord. We need to go to ignite every one with the light of revival that is burning in us. 
• “Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the king of Glory shall come in, who is the king of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle” Psalm 24:7-8.  Pray that every gate that is militating against the propagation of the Gospel be lifted up, the gates of LGBT, Timidity, Prayerlessness, Lack of evangelism, being at ease in Zion (Amos 6:1)
